Morning Sickness or NVP (Nausea and Vomiting of Pregnancy) covers feelings of Nausea and Vomiting that occurs during the 4th week of Pregnancy till around 12-13th Week of Pregnancy.




For the record Morning Sickness is not confined to the mornings.

It can occur at any time of the day and you may feel uneasy and restless for sometime. It is a very common sign of Pregnancy and it is just a phase covering the First Trimester of your Pregnancy.




HOW TO COPE WITH MORNING SICKNESS?


  • Eat multiple small meals throughout the day to avoid being empty stomach which aggravates nausea


  • Keep a bedside snack handy so that you can eat a little as soon as you get up to start the digestive metabolism . You can eat Ginger, Tamarind Candies, Dry Cereal or a couple of your favourite cookies to avoid nausea

  • Lemon is a wonder food in pregnancy, sniff them, squeeze them in drinking water or even lick slices—the refreshing smell and taste can calm your stomach immensely.

  • Track aromas that trigger your nausea and try to avoid them. You can carry a soothing scent with you at all times to take a whiff whenever you feel uneasy.

  • Avoid spicy and fatty foods.
